Description

Primary functions:

• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.

• Obtain approval of supervisor/ foreman before making Performs preventive and routine maintenance as per maintenance plan.

• Performs major & minor repairs, inspection, checklist of all equipment e.g. diesel engine overhaul, hydraulic cylinders, transmissions, air valves, pneumatic cylinders.

• Performs preventive and routine maintenance as per maintenance plan e.g. oil change, filters, belts, etc.

• Understands and follows all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job.

• Reports completion of tasks assigned and indicates the need for additional maintenance to appropriate personnel.

• Make repairs on engine components (Petrol and Diesel) - lubrication systems, fuelling systems, tune-ups, cooling systems, transmissions, etc.

• Perform duty in worksite and construction projects.

• Trains subordinates & provides technical guidance.

• Understands and follows all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job.

• Ensure that all preventive maintenance (mechanical) is conducted as defined in the system.

• Attend breakdowns as reported by Staff & Equipment Control on an immediate basis.
• Reports completion of tasks assigned and indicates the need for additional maintenance to appropriate personnel.
• purchase requisition and submitting to stores.

• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Foreman and supervisor.

Qualifications

• Between 22-45 years old, energetic, in good health, and has a strong personality.
• English literate. Knows how to speak and write in English.
• At least 4 years of field experience with technical school certificate.
• Gulf Experience is an advantage.
• Success of maintaining and repairing equipment within acceptable time frame and minimum cost with proper execution as per PM plan.
• Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends.
