Qualifications

• Experience in the execution of Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPIC projects; performing pre-award FEED endorsement.
• Familiarity in the preparation of Instrumentation procedures.
• Good knowledge of HSE, Quality, and Codes & Standards, including Shell DEPs for implementation in Instrumentation design; additionally, knowledge of INTools software, and HONEYWELL, INVENSYS (SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC) and EMERSON control systems; competency to work on HART and Foundation Field Bus based instruments.
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office packages – Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Familiarity with different types of Process Equipment.

• Experience in the preparation of Detailed Engineering deliverables related to Instrumentation discipline, such as Loop Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Hook-up Drawings, Process and Safety Cause and Effect Matrix, Cable Schedule, Cable Routing Drawings, Material Take-Offs, Specifications, Data Sheets and Material Requisitions; as-builts; identifying Long Lead items, and prioritization of relevant documents.
• Experience in the preparation of Scope Matrix for Engineering Consultants; review of Instrumentation deliverables prepared by Engineering Consultants for ensuring compliance with project, HSE, Quality and Code requirements.
• Good exposure in interfacing with Vendors in terms of developing “Roles and Responsibility matrices, and raising technical clarifications; preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) document and Vendor Documentation Review.
• Experience in pre-bid Engineering, technical support to Proposal Team.
• Experience in the preparation of Scope of Work documents for DCS, ESD, and FGS, providing clarifications to vendor queries, and review of vendor documents.
• Experience in participation in Safety Studies and Reviews, such as HAZID, Design Review, HAZOP, SIL, SIMOPS and the like.
• Working Exposure to Telecommunication, Access Control and CCTV systems, and integration into DCS / SCADA systems.
• Good knowledge of materials, including materials for sour service.
• Good exposure to Construction and Commissioning activities related to Instrumentation, including the following: Installation of DCS, ESD, PLC, F&G, SCADA, and ANALYSER, Field / Control Room instruments; Calibration, Loop checking, testing and commissioning of Instrumentation System; overhauling and fine tuning of control valves, EDSVs, and other Instrumentation valves; field cable routing and laying and cable tray installations; Instrumentation cable testing for process and safety systems, including FO cables; overseeing Instrumentation functions of equipment testing, control cable testing and protection systems; ensuring all test equipment are healthy, calibrated and have calibration certificate prior to performing testing; Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Acceptance Tests for Petrochemical, Refinery, Oil & Gas and Offshore Oil Platform Projects; problem solving and trouble-shooting in operating plant during Pre-commissioning and Commissioning of projects with respect to Instrumentation logics, control and function tests; shutdown maintenance related activities. Good interpersonal relationship capabilities and communication (oral and written). Leadership capabilities, Team work and ability to coach, guide and motivate subordinates on the job.
• Degree or equivalent in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
• Primary experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery sectors, including onshore and offshore.
• Familiar with Oil and Gas safety requirements; good knowledge on application of hazardous area classified equipment.
• Overall experience of 10 years and minimum 3 years in supervisory roles.
• At least 3 years Middle East experience.
